Kiviat Talks Alien Autopsy with ufowatchdog.com

Licensing rights, parades, an amusement park, museums, t-shirt souvenir shop, blah blah blah...no thanks.
Yes, the rumor is true that I am taking an extended (if not permanent) break from the nutty world of UFOs. While there is an endless supply of UFO crackpots and con artists, I simply don't have the time or the inclination to keep up on all of it. I'd rather spend my time out in the sun with my family and friends over a cold one and a bbq. Why waste any time on a field ripe with sheep that continually empowers charlatans and lunatics by embracing with arms open wide any UFO tale for sale or used to indulge someone's deepest, most paranoid fantasy? More to come shortly...

" He was into UFOs and all different kinds of scientific things. ... He was a nice guy. He was always a little bit strange."

-- Someone who lived on the same block as Kansas City shopping mall gunman David W. Logsdon.

" The most hilarious web posting we have read in a very long time comes from Whitley Strieber's "Unknown Country", dated 9/30/05. Linda Moulton Howe is described as "our Dreamland science reporter". We ask - what, if any, are the scientific qualifications of this pleasant but extremely gullible lady?? Inquiring minds would like to know! " -- Saucer Smear, Vol. 52, Issue No. 10

" I can't remember. I was smoking a lot of dope at the time. Not good for the intellect. "

-- Alleged UFO computer hacker Gary McKinnon when asked for names of spaceshipships McKinnon alleges to have seen in secret government files.

" Well, I've known of him (and occasionally debated him on the radio) for years, and he's always been bonkers. Two weeks after he claimed we had a 'secret detection', he was telling radio audiences that when Neil Armstrong stepped out on the moon in 1969, he was surrounded by alien spacecraft! "

--SETI's Seth Shostak in an e-mail responding to the wild claims of Steven Greer.
Don Ecker: 20 Years in the UFO Fog
" I, David Sereda, would like to apply to become an astronaut for special reasons. I saw a UFO in Berkeley, CA in 1968 when I was 7 years old. [...] I would like to go on the space shuttle and the ISS to conduct studies of UFO phenomenon using special cameras sensitive to visible, infrared and UV to search for UFO activity. I would like to report my findings to the American people. I am now collecting a petition of signatures of citizens who want me to fly on the NASA space shuttle in space to search for ET craft. "

--David Sereda on his blog asking people to petition NASA to send him into space so he can take photos of UFOs. Uh, yeah, sure. Kool Aid anyone?
" I think the assumption for far too long among mainstream media, my colleagues, is that anyone who's interested in UFOs is a crackpot, a whacko, someone in desperate need of some kind of psychiatric attention," Knapp said. " And, unfortunately, a lot of times, they're right..."

--Investigative journalist George Knapp in an article for ReviewJournal.com
To fly 7 million light-years to O’Hare and then have to turn around and go home because your gate was occupied is simply unacceptable.

-- O'Hare International Airport air-traffic controller
