No matter how much evidence is offered, there will always be those people out there that will continue to support UFO frauds - Jaime Maussan is apparently no exception. It was reported this past Sunday that Maussan is still supporting the Reed UFO Hoax, even though it has been proven that the man claiming to "Dr.Jonathan Reed" is a fraud.

Maussan stated on a Latin American radio broadcast:

"I just want to clarify that the sale of Jonathan Reed's book in Mexico has not exceeded $400.00 dollars. Enough of all these lies. Dr. Reed graduated from UCLA in June of 1980. Harold Chacon, who has been accused of working at a gas station, is a biologist and a tutor at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico. The inside part of the link artifact is not made of rubber foam; it's made of carbon nano-tubes. I don't believe Jonathan Reed is an angel, I have questioned some of his claims, but the case is real and the eyewitnesses are genuine. As a result, it may be obvious that this case may be somewhat dangerous for some, and others, who don't show their face, are simply part of an agenda to discredit this story among the public opinion."

The man claiming to be "Dr.Jonathan Reed" did not graduate from UCLA in 1980. The man claiming to be "Dr.Reed" - his REAL name is John Bradley Rutter - has no college degrees to his name and is not a doctor of any kind. It has also been proven that Harold Chacon is not a doctor and that Chacon does indeed work at a gas station. In fact, the gas station is a Chevron gas station located in west Seattle. UFOWATCHDOG.COM has been to this gas station and has talked to coworkers of Chacon. In fact, UFOWATCHDOG.COM contacted Chacon via telephone while he was working at the gas station and asked him to comment on the Reed UFO Fraud - Chacon declined to comment saying, "No, I don't think."

Maussan, accompanied on the recent radio broadcast by his assistant Daniel Munoz and Rodolfo Garrido, claimed that eyewitnesses to the real identity of "Dr.Reed" were lying. Maussan stated, "These are just personal affairs and have nothing to do with the case". Maussan was reported to have never revealed "Dr.Reed's" real identity, which is John Bradly Rutter.

It was also reported that Maussan claimed that the report exposing the identity of "Dr.Reed" and showing the Reed UFO Hoax to be a complete fraud is nothing more than a smear campaign being orchestrated by "Reed's ex-girlfriend" and your UFOWATCHDOG.COM editor. Of course, Maussan doesn't share any of the information about the 4 witnesses in this case that have gone on record nor does Maussan mention the many photos exposing "Dr.Reed" as a complete liar.

One Latin American source stated about Maussan's broadcast, "It was clear the maneuver of Maussan and accomplices is to cover-up the new exposing facts of the Reed's hoax. Make the people think this was just a common fight between two ex-lovers hiding the real informations and consequences. A total waste of time was to hear these fellows in a ridiculous charade of deceiving disinformation. The only thing that Maussan recognized was the fact that he was seeing the Ufowatchdog webpage at that moment."

Maussan is indeed aware of the investigative report posted at UFOWATCHDOG.COM but he has yet to refute the report, the witnesses, or any of the evidence. The Latin American source also stated, "But the reactions of the audience began to feel disturbed and inquiring and it was clear that Maussan was nervous. However he concluded abruptly that this was a poor new effort of the debunkers to discredit Jonathan Reed and now the case is more solid and authentic than ever! It is clear the participation of Maussan and his partners in the Reed's hoax, they will continue supporting the story because there are good amounts of money to be obtained and Maussan will try more than ever to cover his pal 'Reed' from being exposed. Let's see what the Mexican people think now that the new informations have surfaced. We'll see."

Maussan and Munoz were both provided information about this case showing it to be a fraud. An e-mail from Munoz to UFOWATCHDOG.COM states, "In fact, you also can contact Jaime Maussan through me. Believe me that what we would like the most is to know the real truth about this case, and that's
is the main reason we are investigating this way."

Munoz also states in the same e-mail, "Feel free to write to Jaime whenever you want. You now know the right way. And if you have the real evidences that this case is a hoax, just let us know with evidences. As journalists, that's what we are looking for."

After sending the information to Munoz, he replied stating, "...Thank you very much for this info..." But in spite of attempts to contact him and to obtain further information, Munoz ignored repeated e-mails from UFOWATCHDOG.COM and the information provided to him. The report of the radio broadcast seems to indicate that Maussan and company are not at all interested in the truth. Instead, Maussan, who has full knowledge of the UFOWATCHDOG.COM investigation of "Dr.Reed", continues to support the hoax. UFOWATCHDOG.COM will continue to expose this case and those involved...
