After months of defending one of the most notorious UFO frauds ever after it was exposed, after a year of claiming the case was real, after making unsubstantiated claims boasting of scientific proof, all information pertaining and supporting the Reed UFO Fraud has finally come down from Maussan's website. That's not the only thing to come down, Maussan is also missing...
The website was at one time littered with UFO cases and stories offered to the public by Jaime Maussan. In fact, the website heavily advertised Maussan's lecture apperances. The site has been changed dramatically from the former one with the overwhelming presence Maussan once had on the website all but disappearing.
So what happened to Maussan's defense of the case? What happened to all of the scientific evidence Muassan claimed to have supporting the case? Months after "Dr.Jonathan Reed" was exposed as a fraud and a liar in an exclusive story, Maussan continued to state the case was real and failed to make a public statement regarding the facts that were uncovered by the UFOWATCHDOG.COM investigation. It has been reported that Maussan was in the stages of selling a paranormal television series to Telemundo L.A., with one episode - reportedly episode number four - being devoted to the Dr.Reed UFO case. Sources reported that even after "Dr.Reed" was exposed as a fraud, Maussan was still contacting him and inquiring about reshooting the episode. Telemundo and Maussan failed to respond for comment at the time of this story.
One UFOWATCHDOG.COM reader, Joshua Wagoner, sent in an interesting post found on the revamped website once littered with Maussan material. Wagoner writes:
I found a reference to Maussan in the forums section...

Interesting...posted by a "Diego." Entries in parantheses are mine.
There are other posts, but I really don't know what they're talking about.
Just to let you know!

So why is Maussan no longer on a website that appeared to be completely devoted to him and presenting cases he supported? The message found on the website seems to indicate that Maussan is no longer considered a credible UFO investigator. Could it be that some researchers in Mexico have finally grown tired of Maussan making claims about UFO cases that he couldn't back up with hard evidence? Maussan has most certainly made claims of absolute proof in the past. Here's a sample of is track record:
*Claimed to have radar tapes confirming the occupation of Mexican airspace by UFOs. Whre are the tapes you ask? A lot of othr people would also like to know.
* At a 1996 UFO conference in Los Angeles, Maussan was actually telling people that some stars in the sky were gigantic motherships in disguise. I know, I was there and I was one of the people. When asked for proof, Maussan said, "Well, the stars move." He wasn't joking...
* Maussan claimed he had over 100 witnesses to the infmaous daylight Mexico UFO video. The video was proven to be manufactured.
* Maussan claimed that his government intelligence sources told him to beware of the Dr.Reed UFO case as it was dangerous. Of course, we all know about the Reed UFO Fraud now...
* Maussan claimed to have picture of a giant UFO in space. The photo, which Maussan claimed was the best UFO ever, was that of a galaxy forming and the photo had been altered.
UFO video, pictures, a TV series, promises of evidence...haven't we heard this before from Maussan? And don't forget something else we heard from Maussan...

All comments and rebuttals are welcome...as always.
