A website displaying several UFO video clips has been making news in UFO circles as of late. The website Australian UFO Wave 2006 has been receiving a lot of attention throughout the UFO community for its collection of what at first glance appear to be some dazzling UFO video clips.

Among the several video clips offered, one can see the following:

Researchers and investigators have been busy sending links to the site, as well as posting in discussion forums and on e-lists various opinions of the video clips and website. However, many remain unconvinced as to the authenticity of these videos and ufowatchdog.com calls for caution of such sensational video in lieu of a verifiable analysis and other verifiable evidence offered for each supposed event.

ufowatchdog.com has viewed video at the site and has found several of the clips to be extremely unconvincing. Many of the video clips leave the impression of digital manipulation, scripting, and low-grade theatrics. ufowatchdog.com asked for comment from the listed owner of the website, but did not receive any comment at the time this story was published.

The following analysis, offered to ufowatchdog.com from an anonymous source, pertains to one of the video clips claiming to have been shot this past July. Read on, view the comparison pictures below, view the original video clip, and decide for yourself. Based on what ufowatchdog.com has seen, it appears this may be the start of yet another UFO video hoax...

Subject : Australia's UFO Hoax #25

I have just thumbed through some of your threads on your site when I came across this one which hit close to home, "2006 Australia Daylight UFO Video - UFO or Jet?" The reason for it striking a nerve is due to my own analysis on this video footage. So I'd like to add my thoughts if I may.

I've Been asked by many at a forum about the "Australian UFO Wave" video of a supposed low flying craft that ends by entering the trees. And since the site seems to be a hot potatoe, I stayed up one nite doing a bit of frame by frame analysis on it. Hoping to possibly catch something everyone else was missing.

It is listed on this site as "Australian UFO Wave 2006: Sighting #25" and the link for watching the video is here:

http://www.australianufowave.com/ufo25a.html

Here is the quote on the site about it:

DATE: 9.7.06
LOCATION: Picton, NSW
WITNESSES: One witness.
OTHER DETAILS: This object was seen approaching at great speed, but was no longer visible once it passed behind the tree. The witness has stated that the object was silent - the aeroplane that can be heard on the tape was a conventional aircraft off to the East (which was also seen and filmed by the witness).

This is analogue video shot on an old camera, and converted to digital. The conversion process is far from perfect, and the original tape is much clearer (when played directly through a TV). Watching the video frame-by-frame the object appears to be changing shape as it moves, or perhaps rotating. It has been suggested that the object's rapid movement could result in this visual distortion. We will attempt to get a better quality conversion in the future.

This Video is quite a bit differant from other videos that I've looked at . Every time I watched it, something about it didn't seem quite right especially when the sun's reflection hit it.. Why was it only reflecting that top section I kept asking myself? Also, why was the craft's nose tipped up so much, was it coming in for a landing somewhere? Well that didn't make much sense. This one also doesn't have the appearance of being staged (per se') like the video of the family in a car being buzzed overhead by a supposed ufo (made I'm sure with lots of motion-tracking, rotoscoping and chromakeying filters).

So I continued going through all the frames, one at a time. I did this for many-many hours and did notice some little rough changes in the darker portion on the bottom of the craft, but that could've been again something to do with angle and sun reflection. Others had suggested to me that this was the craft's "force-field" giving off these distortions. I had my doubts on that theory....

After going frame by frame, on my 30+ plus time I accidently hit the reverse button and watched the footage in reverse...Thats when it hit me.. We were seeing a reverse flight of a jet with a heavy composite build-up (CG) around the bottom of it...

When you remove the black composite,, you can easily see that it is a jet,,, even a red strobe fires off in a few frames off the wing...

Now I did a real simple (and rather sloppy) cover-up job of the black 'CG' composite using the available blue sky for the fill, so keep that in mind please.

At least now we know why there was the sound of the conventional jet mentioned in the report...LOL

So in summary.. Videotape a jet coming out of the trees heading to the left zoomed in. Follow the jet and zoom-out. Take footage add dark composite CG shading, and reverse the footage to run backwards... Wah-La!

Frame captures that have been enlarged are attached, no filtering except the removal of the black composite CG under the Jet has been used to alter the frames.
