ART BELL FAILS TO COMMENT ON REED UFO FRAUD Late Night Radio Host Ignores Repeated Requests For Comment on UFO Fraud THIS STORY IS ©2002 ROYCE J. MYERS III. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. USE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED WITHOUT EXPRESS WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE AUTHOR. You would think that the person who started the ball rolling for this UFO fraud would have something to say about it. But the king of late night radio has no messenger to send as of yet. ufowatchdog.com sent several requests to Art Bell for comment on the recent revelations exposing both "Dr.Jonathan Reed" and his alien encounter as a fraud.
Bell played host to "Dr.Reed" and his cohorts no fewer than 7 times, devoting nearly entire programs to the case. In fact, it appeared that Bell endorsed the case as being genuine by stating that critics were "frantic to disprove" the case. At one time, Bell mockingly referred to people as "pixel counters" when discrepancies in the photos were pointed out.
Bell stated that "Dr.Reed" had "a serious alien encounter", the photos were "real" Kodak photos and that he had someone analyze the film and video and stated the photos and video were genuine. The name of this alleged expert was never revealed nor were any reports made available.
During the course of this fraud appearing on Coast To Coast AM, the Seattle, Washington based Art Bell Chat Club withdrew Bell's name from its club after reportedly experiencing problems with Bell when the chat club exposed Robert "Raith" (aka Robert Aria) and "Dr." Harold Chacon (not a doctor by any means) as both being clerks at a west Seattle gas station.
So why is Bell choosing not to offer something in this matter? Why has he chosen to not denounce this blatant fraud and inform the listening public? Remember what Bell espouses about the truth...
"It comes under the category of telling you the truth. Something I'm really big on." -- Art Bell, April 17, 2001 Okay, Bell, so when do you actualy start telling your listeners the truth...?
