Well, ufowatchdog.com received an apology...sort of. You see, instead of stepping up to the plate and admitting that her accusations were false, slanerous, and made out of spite, Melissa Ann Thomson tried what most people without any courage do: Blame someone else. Here's Thomson's lame apology and attempt to lay blame elsewhere:
" As for my comments regarding various activities of members of UFOWATCHDOG, I do apologize for listening to various Internet gossip and rumors. I typically do not put any credence in anything listed on the Internet (or elsewhere for that matter) and certainly prefer to take the high road and rise above this type of garbage and certainly hope that others would do the same. I strive everyday to live my life as if Christ were walking beside me and this type of activity and gossip would certainly fall under his disapproval. So yes, you have my apology for listening to hearsay that may or may not be backed up by facts. "
Thomson even offered in one e-mail to provide proof of all of Morton's claims saying she had documents and had verified each claim personally. Of course, ufowatchdog.com took her up on her offer to provide proof and asked for it. So far, no response has been recieved and none is expected. Ms.Thomson, we're STILL waiting.
MARCH 30, 2000 - Dispute Resolution and Notification of Tort
Delphi Associates webmaster Melissa Ann Thomson has yet to issue an appropriate apology to ufowatchdog.com for her malicious, false and slanderous accusations in which she alleged that people associated with ufowatchdog.com are "child molesters" listed in criminal databases and are involved in pornogrpahy. Ms. Thomson's outrageous accusations are completely false and without a shred of merit. ufowatchdog.com will not stand for anyone to make such outrageous and insidious lies against this website.
ufowatchdog.com has made several good faith efforts in seeking an appropriate apology from Ms. Thomson. However, such apology has not been forthcoming and ufowatchdog.com announces its intent to file tort against Ms.Thomason, Delphi Associates and the Prophecy Research Institute for libel in this matter. On the advice of an attorney, another good faith effort at resolving the matter is being made. Should Ms.Thomson fail to do what is right in this matter, by issuing an apology for making accusations she knew to be false, then ufowatchdog.com will proceed with litigation.
14-MARCH-2001 - It appears that Delphi Associates no longer has a listing for a webmaster. After reporting that their "new webmaster" Angela Granger was none other than Melisssa Ann Thomson, the webmaster name was pulled from the Delphi Associates website.
UPDATE, 07-MARCH-2001: ufowatchdog.com announces that it will now be seeking legal action against Melissa Ann Thomson, Delphi Associates and the Prophecy Research Institute for libel. Ms.Thomson was given more than a fair opportunity to apology for her intentional and harmful statements regarding ufowatchdog.com and those associated with it. Ms.Thomson was also given a second opportunity to make an appropriate apology but has failed to do so. Delphi Associates has announced they have a "new" webmaster going by the name of 'Angela Granger.' ufowatchdog.com has recieved information that this name is a reported alias of Melissa Ann Thomson. It has also been reported that Ms.Thomson also uses the alias of Melissa Granger.
UPDATE, 05-MARCH-2001: ufowatchdog.com is now attempting to resolve this matter by demanding an apology from Melissa Ann Thomson, webmaster for Morton's Delphi Associates website. Ms.Thomson was reported to have sent an e-mail to a person, not associated with ufowatchdog.com, who inquired about the findings of an investigation by this website into claims made by Morton. Ms.Thomson then made completely false accusations against ufowatchdog.com and those associated with it. Ms.Thomson has chosen to state that people associated with ufowatchdog.comare "child molesters" and are involved in the pornography industry. Again, these vile accusations are completely without foundation and, at the very least, constitute libel. Thomson failed to reply to the first e-mail sent to her inquiring about her false statements, this same e-mail was sent to Sean David Morton - he also failed to respond.

Hi there. Why are you stating that people associated with UFOWATCHDOG.COM are "child molesters" and are involved in pornography? You're quite mistaken and I'm frankly offended by such a malicious and false allegation. You were sent a notice when this site went on-line. An open invitation for comment was also posted at that time.

Since you have failed to respond to my e-mail inquiry, I will assume you are not willing to face your false allegations against me, my website and those associated with it. I demand an immediate and public apology for your outrageous and completely false allegations. Claiming that people associated with UFOWATCHDOG.COM are "child molesters," are listed in criminal indexes and are involved in the pornography industry is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated in any manner. Your intentional actions demand an immediate apology. Your original e-mail response to someone inquiring about Mr.Morton can be found below.
As for the UFOWATCHDOG.COM investigation into Sean David Morton, you and Mr.Morton were both sent a notice when the site went on line and were offered the opportunity to respond, which you have failed to do.

Mr. Royce Myers III
I have no idea who you are nor have I ever received any correspondence from
you. The email I responded to came from Mr. Alan Watts and is copied in
full below. You also did not include my second response to this email which
is also below. As for "slinging" libelous accusations, what is
your response to the garbage you have posted on your site about me with
connotations to polygamy? Perhaps this is your attempt at being funny considering
I grew up in Salt Lake City and my family is very active in the prominent
religion to that area?
This "letter" is totally untrue and definitely with the intent
to harm. Not only have you attempted to damage my name and reputation, but
more importantly that of my family. They are very hard working, decent,
honest and very religious people. Obviously you did not have the moral decency
to check into who you may be damaging by posting something that is obviously
very malicious and damaging. If any apology is to be made, it is to me and
more importantly, to my family.
>I just thought you being a webmaster and all, you probably wouldn't

And no, I >haven't heard of you, but there are a lot of people in the

to me that everyone tries so hard to "dis" everyone else. Too

trash at >each other. Seems to me like the whole field just needs to

you can't even agree and work together? BTW, if you would like, I can send
you copies of anything >you feel is "in dispute" about Sean's
life. I am just now updating his bio portion of the site with pictures,

TO: Melissa Ann Thomson - Webmaster for Delphi
Associates
Ms.Thomson,
You and Mr.Morton were both sent e-mail notifications when UFOWATCHDOG.COM
went on-line. I have the original e-mail with your e-mail address listed
as well as Mr.Morton's. You have also sent me one correspondence in which
you were asked about Mr.Morton's biography being pulled from the Delphi
Associates website, I also have this e-mail. You were well aware of the
website as you attest to such in your e-mail in which you wrongfully and
willfully accuse the people associated with my website of being "child
molesters" and directors of pornographic films. Your flagrant accusations
are nothing short of heinous and false.
The page you refer to was found on the Internet while I was conducting research
into the claims made by Mr.Morton. It was presented simply as something
of interest since it apparently involved Mr.Morton. Might I ask, why was
it posted with your first name and Mr.Morton's on the bottom with a link
to the e-mail address of Vajra777@aol.com and "MORTON" in the
URL? I have a copy of this page and I find it peculiar that you choose now
to address your alleged concerns when you have been given ample opportunity
to do so far before you chose to falsely accuse UFOWATCHDOG.COM and those
associated with it of being criminals and of being involved in pornography.
It is my opinion that you are attempting to divert attention from the real
issue in this matter - your slanderous and untrue remarks about my website.
I cannot and will not be held responsible for what I find listed in a place
commonly open to the public, namely the Internet where I discovered the
page you refer to. Perhaps you need to contact the website owners at www.polygamy.com
and take your issue up with them.
As for an apology, you are the one that has made grossly inaccurate and
slanderous accusations regarding my website and those associated with it.
I will expect an apology from you, addressed to my name and UFOWATCHDOG.COM
for your baseless and ludicrous slander. Your apology will be sent directly
to me from you via e-mail. Should an appropriate apology not be received
by 9:AM (PST) on March 6, 2001, thus bringing closure and relief to UFOWATCHDOG.COM
in this matter, then you leave no recourse except for that of litigation
for which an attorney has already been consulted.

Royce J. Myers III
